Luke Salmons, Head Coach
Entering his 4th season as head coach of the Cabell Midland Knights , Coach Salmons graduated from Marshall University in 2004. Coach Salmons was a three year starter and served as team captain for the thundering herd. During that time Marshall University was the winngest Division 1A football team in the country. While at Ravenswood High School Coach Salmons won numerous state titles and was a three sport stand-out. Coach Salmons was a four year starter in football,baseball, and wrestling. Coach Salmons received first team All-State in all three sports. Coach Salmons was named Louisville Courier Journal Coach of the year In all Six Football Classes in KY. He was also named 4A Coach of the year, Mountain Coach of the year and ALL area big School Coach of the year. While at Lawrence County he has coached numerous kids that have went on to play college football at all levels. At Cabell Midland in their first year they took a 3-7 team to 7-3 and hosted the first round of playoffs. In three years Cabell Midland has won 30 games, the knights have won the MSAC and have also advanced to the state championship game in the 2012 season. Coach Salmons has won MSAC coach of the year and also WV football coaches association coach of the year. Coach Salmons loves the game and feels honored and blessed to be at Cabell Midland. While in his first year 3 kids have commited to playing college football at the next level Coach Salmons is married to Amanda Salmons and has 2 sons Mason (6) Jake (3). Our Goal is to get Cabell Midland into a Football Power each and every year. We will Be tough Fundamental Play with a Purpose and Be a Team!!!

Christopher Leese, Offense Assistant
Coach Leese graduated from Man High School in 1989, home of the Hillbillies. He attended Marshall University where he completed his Bachelors Degree in Business Education and his Masters Degree in Adult and Technical Education. He played semi-pro football for the Huntington Hawks from 1996-1998 where he started on the Offensive and Defensive Line. He has a year old daughter, Natalie Brooke Leese.

4 year letterman at St. Albans high school in St. Albans, WV. Was named 1st team All-MSAC as a Defensive back senior year. Received a scholarship to play at The University of Charleston, earned 3 letters, started 2 years at Safety, and was named a team captain senior year. Engaged to Gina Baker, lives with her and two dogs in South Charleston.
Coach Cole, Offensive Line
2 year starter for Cabell Midland High School, offensive line (2004-2005), team captain my senior year, McDonalds player of the week (2005), 2nd player in school history to be unanimously voted 1st team ALL-MSAC (2005), 2nd team ALL-State(2005), played North-South All-Star game. Received scholarship to play football for West Virginia State University were I started offensive line for the Yellow Jackets 4 years (2006-2009) and helped contribute to States first winning season in over 20 years and the first D-2 Top 25 appearance in school history , played Offensive/Defensive linefor the Huntington Hammer(2011). Coached Cabell Midland High Schools Freshman Offensive/Defensive line in 2012, Coaches offensvile line at Cabell Midland and teaches at Cabell Midland HS

State Manager for Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society for 18yrs, President of the Ohio Woodmen Fraternal Corp., National Board member of the Woodmen Foundation "Omaha NE.", Registered Rep with the NASD, Currently hold the All Time Record high production for Woodmen of the World in West Virginia and Ohio, President of the Milton Athletic Boosters, Board member of local Ducks Unlimited chapter, Asst Coach at CMHS Football. I have been in Football my whole life. It is truly a part of my life. I believe the skills and dicipline I learned as a player has help me be the person, and leader I am am today of a multi-million dollar sales force. I love being a part of this game and hope that I may be a positive part of these players lives and help them move into the adult world not only as an Athlete but a productive leader in their community.
Coach Dewey Ballangee, Freshman Coach
Born in Charleston, West Virginia raised in Barboursville, West Virginia. Attended and graduated Barboursville High School 1983-1986. Three year varsity starter, kicker, wing back and corner. Was a member of the State runner up Barboursville High School Football Team 1983 and 1984. Coached 11 years in the Barboursville Youth Football League and Cabell Midland Freshman Coach 2011 to current. Owner/Operator D&T Automotive. Married to Leslie and have two children son Cody and daughter Quinnlyn.

TJ graduated from Graham High School in VA. First Team All State Selection VA 2004,2005,2006 Defensive Back
Also particiapted in Track and Field where he was a stand-out. TJ is entering first season as Defensive back coach at Cabell Midland. TJ Played football for Marshall University was a 2 year letterman and team captain in 2012. TJ resides in Huntington and his pride and joy is his baby girl Carson (2 years old). TJ is excited about this season and loves the game of Football.
